Can I drive after the estimated end time?
No. The display is only an estimate based on the pure alcohol you logged and your weight. Alcohol clearance varies greatly by person. Never use it to decide whether to drive, and never drive after drinking.
How is pure alcohol calculated?
Volume (ml) × ABV (%) ÷ 100 × 0.8. A 350 ml beer at 5% is about 14 g. The 20 g and 40 g thresholds follow Japan’s Ministry of Health guidelines.
Where are my records stored?
Only on your iPhone. There is no account, and nobody—including the developer—can see your records. Photos kept with records also stay in the app’s storage on your iPhone. You can delete everything from Settings at any time.
Are photos sent anywhere when I log from a photo?
Can and label text is read on your iPhone, so the photo does not leave the device. Only if the ABV cannot be read and you choose “Estimate with AI” after reviewing the prompt is the photo sent to Cloudflare (Workers AI) to estimate type, ABV and volume. It is used only for the estimate and is not stored. Check and edit the result before logging.
Can I use it with Apple Watch alone?
Records are stored on the iPhone, so use NOMIHAM on an Apple Watch paired with your iPhone. A Watch record is saved when it reaches the iPhone.
Can I use it to cut back or stop drinking?
Yes. Weekly and monthly totals compare with the previous period when you are cutting back. For quitting or alcohol-free days, Nomiham looks healthier as your streak continues, from day 1 through day 1000. The app does not encourage drinking.
How much does it cost?
All features are free. A banner ad appears at the bottom of the calendar. A one-time purchase removes ads; there is no subscription.
